R.I.P. Ben Lowe
It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I must inform you of our tragic news. Ben Lowe, our great friend and awesome vocalist decided to take his own life some time last week. We are all devasted, shocked and confused. He was a really great guy, so full of energy and fun and we were very much looking forward to his return to London from Australia this year. Unfortunately for everybody, he has decided to take another path. Dear Ben, we hope you found what you were looking for. We will miss you very much.
Our thoughts go out to Ben's mother, brother, three sisters and their families in this most difficult of times. We also hail the great Dead Existence with whom Ben had been drumming from the beginning of their jouney.
Words seem stupid at this time but nevertheless I would like to say how highly Ben was regarded as both a man and as a musician. As we await the arrival of our new album, we read with sad satisfaction the great compliments Ben h! as received for his incredible vocal performance. I would like to thank him, along with Joe Burwood, Rob Archibald, Einar Sjurso, Nick Howdle-Smith and Muz Ullah for bringing this release to life.
We wholeheartedly dedicate this work to the memory of Ben Lowe and to all those who loved him as we did. We believe Ben would have wanted us to continue working together in this band and in doing so, we vow to look out for each other much better from now on.
Fans of Ben's work may be pleased to know that 'void' is not in fact his swansong recording as we were lucky enough to capture his drum performance for two new Dead Existence tracks before he went travelling. To finish this recording is now a priority for Dead Existence and for me as producer.
Thank you for reading.
Peace.
